McCarthy is spot on, Cork’s treatment was disgraceful

I LEFT Semple Stadium on Sunday evening with a smile on my face, a spring in my step, a song in my heart.

Why? Because of the hurling and the hurlers I had just seen in two absolutely riveting Munster SHC semi-finals.

After the disappointment of what had happened in the previous few weeks in the very narrow corridors of the very lop-sided power that is the GAA disciplinary procedure, it was heartening, uplifting, to know that this game is still in the very best of hands – the hands of the those who play, the hands of those who enter that arena and go head-to-head and toe-to-toe.
