You too could be called to account by the CCC
Flopped through the letterbox just as I was slicing a banana into the muesli, a fine fat envelope with CCC stamped up in the corner. When I opened it – yup, you guessed – I found that I’m up before the committee for that heinous of crimes, ‘contributing to a melee’.
Because I was in Thurles on May 27 and participating in the creation of a championship-game atmosphere, I’m in the dock as well as the eight lads, the two county boards and the match organising committee. It’s going to have to be a pretty big dock, however. I understand that those poor traumatised children who stood in the guard of honour have had their painstaking rehabilitation curtailed because they, too, are guilty of contributing to a melee.
