Tackling perennial puzzle of the NHL

I DON’T know if any of you noticed, but the NHL finally finished last weekend. Limerick won the promotion/relegation play-off and preserved their status in the top flight.

Losers Laois, despite having won the Division Two title a couple of weeks ago, remain in the same section next year.

It was not a very satisfactory way to end what is constantly being billed as the second most important competition in the GAA calendar.
