Mortimer set to return for final

TREVOR MORTIMER could return to the Mayo starting 15 for Sunday’s Connacht Senior football final against Galway at Castlebar.

The Shrule/Glencorrib attacker has been impressive for his club since returning from a niggling groin problem and his form sees him pushing for inclusion in the county side.

Austin O’Malley suffered a leg injury during training last week and is rated as extremely doubtful for the provincial decider.

Mayo are also expected to be without David Brady for the provincial final, the experienced midfielder having had a cast removed from his foot recently.
