Bride should have edge on Delanys

THREE of the four second round games in the Evening Echo Cork Co SHC down for decision this weekend will be played with that extra bit of intensity in order to avoid having to play in what will be a relegation dogfight for the losers.
Bride should have edge on Delanys

Tonight, Delanys and Bride Rovers clash at Caherlag at 7 p.m. Delanys go into the game without Padraig O’Connell, who is on holidays, but the long serving George Healy is back from his and will be a welcome addition.

The Dublin Hill side’s league form hasn’t been great but when it comes to the cut and trust of the championship they can be relied upon to give it their best shot. Mark McElhinney, the Egan brothers Barry and James, and the Foley brothers Conor, Kevin and Ronan will all figure but are up against a dogged side in the Rovers.
