Carlow consider appeal to Brennan red card for ‘handbags’

CARLOW will wait on the referee’s report of Sunday’s Leinster SFC clash with Wicklow before deciding whether to appeal against the decision to send off full back Mark Brennan.

“It looked to be only handbags stuff,” said county PRO Tom Murphy.

“Both players were on the ground and I doubt if there was a blow struck.

“It seemed harsh enough to give both players straight red cards.

“Depending on what the referee says in his report will determine whether we appeal or not.

“We will certainly have a look at the video of the game as we may need that for evidence if we have a case to answer.”
