Newtownshandrum get motoring with Toyota

AIB club hurling champions Newtownshandrum have been presented with a Toyota Corolla in recognition of their All-Ireland club win over Antrim’s Dunloy Cúchullains, as part of ongoing GAA sponsorship by Toyota Ireland.

This is the first year the club champions are being presented with cars, following presentations last year to the Allianz League and All-Ireland winners. Both Kilkenny and Tyrone received two Toyota Corollas each for their double winning exploits last year with Cork and Armagh also receiving Toyota Yaris’s for their runners up positions in the All-Ireland finals.

So far, the cars have raised over €152,000 between Kilkenny, Cork and Armagh, with Tyrone currently in the process of raffling their cars.

Other elements of the sponsorship include Allstar players receiving a special discount on the purchase of a new Toyota during their Allstar term.
