Like Tipperary two Sundays ago in Munster, and Kilkenny last Sunday, Offaly enter tomorrow’s Leinster SHC semi-final with Dublin as red-hot odds-on favourites.

“Forewarned is forearmed. John Conran (Wexford manager), Humphrey Kelleher (Dublin manager) and myself have been working towards the same thing, trying to take the foregone conclusion element out of Leinster. All year that’s what we were working towards, trying to catch up on Kilkenny. Wexford have managed it, and were able to match Kilkenny in most departments, were better in several, and it was a fair result. It remains to be seen how far down the road we’ve gone.”
