Seven Kerry stars get call-up for Munster clash with Leinster
Tom O’Sullivan, Aidan O’Mahony, Eamon Fitzmaurice, Paul Galvin, Marc Ó Sé, Eoin Brosnan and Colm Cooper will start with Kieran Cremin listed as sub goalkeeper. Tipperary Allstar Declan Browne is named at full forward while Munster finalists Limerick have five men on the side.
Leinster boss Luke Dempsey is keen to show the potential of football in the province against the southern selection. “Leinster footballers are as good as anywhere else in the country,” the new Longford manager said yesterday. “The record in the Railway Cup shows that over the last three or four years. Where Leinster might have to pick up is in preparation. Look at the amount of preparation the last three All-Ireland winners have put in. It’s been phenomenal.”
