St Brigid’s lodge objection

ST BRIGID’S have lodged an objection against Kilmacud Crokes following their one-point defeat in the first round of the Dublin SFC at Parnell Park last Friday.

St Brigid’s lodge objection

The objection relates to Crokes’ forward and county U21 player Mark Vaughan, whose six points propelled the Stillorgan side to victory.

The player was sent off in the Leinster club championship semi-final last season, which resulted in him being banned for his next club championship game.

Since Kilmacud played no further part in last year’s campaign after that match, Vaughan’s suspension was due to be served in the first game of this year’s Dublin championship.

However, Kilmacud successfully appealed to the Disputes Resolution Authority, claiming the Dublin championship was a different competition.
