Kenny expected to play up front for UCC
The inter-county mid- fielder was at left half forward in the league final against Cork IT, scoring four long-range points.
Kilkenny’s Tommy Walsh was another UCC player who showed his versatility, lining out as a forward after a season in defence with the county side.
NUIG, who failed to fulfil their semi-final fixture against Cork IT because of exams, are keen to make amends.
Home advantage should give them an edge but they’ll need Galway’s Tony Óg Regan and Kevin Hayes, Tony Scroope (Tipperary), and Clare’s Jerry O’Grady to excel if they are to deny UCC a place in the Fitzgibbon weekend in Limerick on March 4/5.
