Mayo make one change with Mortimer back for Kerry clash

MAYO have made one change from the team which defeated Cavan last weekend for Sunday’s Bank of Ireland, All-Ireland SFC quarter final clash with Kerry at Croke Park.

Right corner forward Trevor Mortimer, who was suspended for the qualifier, returns at the expense of his brother Conor.

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has left Ryan McMenamin’s right corner back slot vacant in the hope an appeal will overturn the Dromore man’s four- week suspension ahead of Saturday’s qualifier clash with Monaghan.

Harte has made one change from the side which lost to Armagh in the Ulster final replay, with Owen Mulligan restored to the starting 15 at the expense of Martin Penrose at left-half forward. Peter Canavan has recovered from rib and shoulder injuries, but once again starts on the bench for the Croke Park clash.

Meanwhile, Derry have made four changes from the side that defeated Limerick for tomorrow’s All-Ireland qualifier with Laois at Croke Park.

Ger O’Kane replaces Michael Kelly at left corner back. Padraig Kelly comes in for the injured Paul McFlynn at left half back. Fergal Doherty teams up with Patsy Bradley at midfield to the exclusion of Gavin Donaghy, while Enda Muldoon takes over the left corner forward position from Colin Devlin.

The Cork intermediate hurling selectors have named the same team which defeated Tipperary in the Munster final, for Saturday’s All-Ireland semi-final against Galway in Thurles (3.30pm).

The team includes four members of the U21 team which won the Munster title in midweek: Shane O’Neill, Kevin Hartnett, Maurice O’Sullivan and Kevin Canty. Vincent Hurley who won an All-Ireland junior medal last Saturday, hopes to add an intermediate medal to his haul.
