WATERFORD manager Justin McCarthy is keeping a firm lid on Deise expectation following a two-point victory over the dual league and All-Ireland champions, Kilkenny in Nowlan Park on Sunday.

The former Cork star insisted the 0-15 to 1-10 victory was little more than ‘a good start’ to the season.

“The victory has given us two valuable league points, that’s it, nothing more”, McCarthy said.
