LEADING inter-county managers have met with GAC chiefs in Croke Park to clarify regulations and thrash out solutions to a number of match day problems.

Representatives of the inter-county football and hurling managers met separately with the chairman and secretary of the GAC ahead of a Central Council debate tomorrow on proposals to improve communications with players on the pitch.

Managers have complained of an inability to pass important messages onto players. As a result, Central Council will discuss moves tomorrow to permit a selector on the opposite side of Croke Park to the manager.
