Cody escapes with GAC warning
A day after GAA chiefs vowed to punish any abuse of referees, the Kilkenny manager yesterday escaped with a severe warning from the GAA’s Games Administration Committee for his behaviour during the qualifier with Galway in Thurles.
Cody, who attended the GAC meeting on Monday at headquarters with Kilkenny chairman Ned Quinn, was not charged with any further indiscretions, but warned that he faces a three-match ban for any repeat.
