Dunne launches Tipp ASH scheme
County chairman Donal Shanahan said: “The ASH programme is now well established as a key element of the preparation of our 17-year-old hurlers in preparation for the county minor hurling team of the following year.
“It is important our young players receive the very best at a number of levels, not only in coaching but also in others areas of mental and physical preparation.
“I wish the players selected all the very best and I urge them to listen closely to the advice being delivered by a large group of people, especially some of the inter-county stars, past and present, who have made themselves available for this programme in the coming weeks.”
The first session will take place tomorrow and the programme will run for four weeks, covering the areas of skills development, lifestyle, diet and nutrition, mental preparation and physical well-being.
A number of high-profile players have made themselves available, including Nicky English, John Leahy, Michael Cleary, Liam Cahill, Declan Ryan, Michael Ryan, and Eoin Kelly.
