St Senan's leave it late
St Senan's now play Athea in a play-off for the right to meet Newcastle West in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Hospital-Herbertstown will be involved in a relegation play-off against Gerald Griffins.
St Senan's had the benefit of a third-minute goal from Dave Foley, but Hospital-Herberstown keptsnapping at them and at the halfway stage there was just two points in it, 1-5 to 0-6.
Paul Ryan increased St Senan's advantage, but a Diarmuid O'Sullivan goal on 33 minutes brought Hospital-Herbertstown back into contention. Five minutes later, a Colm Hickey point gave them the lead for the first time.
Both sides battled gamely to the finish and a share of the honours looked the likely outcome until those late scores from Lane and Ryan proved of immense value to St Senan's.
