I’m in no rush back, says O’Mahony

JOHN O’MAHONY is remaining tightlipped about his future despite his installation as favourite to replace John Maughan as Mayo manager.

“I know there is lots speculation out there, but I can’t be responsible for that,’’ the two-time All-Ireland SFC winning manager said yesterday. “Everyone is presuming that I am going back (into management) after my year out, which I did before. I am the only one who is not presuming that!

“I won’t make up my mind until the time comes and I actually see the lie of the land.’’
