LIMERICK County Board will not take any action over Tipperary’s delay in taking off a player who had been replaced in Saturday’s replay.

In extra time Pa Morrissey came on for Conor O’Mahony. There was a slight delay before O’Mahony came off the field, with no official announcement made or the player’s name being shown on the electronic board.

It meant Tipp had 16 players on the field for about 45 seconds. There were rumours of an appeal, with suggestions that Tipp had an extra player for three minutes, but County Board PRO Denis O’Carroll said: “Games are decided on the field."
