McIntyre appointed new Offaly boss

AT A specially convened meeting of the Offaly County Board in Tullamore last night John McIntyre was confirmed as manager of the Offaly senior hurling team for a three year period.

The decision to ratify his appointment was unanimous and he is to appoint his own selectors.

This is the second time McIntyre, who is the sports editor of the Connacht Tribune, has held the position.
