Higgins twins could land Laois in hot water

LAOIS are facing a second fine in three years from the GAA for allowing the twins of wing-back Joe Higgins join the pre-match parade before Sunday’s Leinster SFC final at Croke Park.

Two years ago, the County Board received a €1,400 fine when twins Kevin and Jack Higgins joined their father behind the Artane Boys’ Band.

Those actions directly contravened Rule 6 of the GAA’s official regulations that specifically banned mascots from the team photograph or team parade.
