Tyrone unchanged for final as McConnell fails to make it
Goalkeeper Pascal McConnell has not fully recovered from the knock he sustained in the closing stages of the drawn semi-final against Cavan almost three weeks ago.
Owen Mulligan must start a second successive game on the bench, having been omitted for the rematch with Cavan.
Waterford have made just one positional change from the side that trounced Dublin last weekend for Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC qualifier with Clare at Cusack Park. Paul Flynn and Eoin McGrath swap places with the Ballygunner ace starting at top of the left on this occasion.
Galway have made two changes to the side which hammered Antrim for Saturday’s All-Ireland hurling championship qualifier against Limerick.
Centre-forward David Forde returns from injury, while Fergal Healy is drafted in at midfield as Galway also make a number of positional changes.
Healy’s younger brother Niall is one of the players to lose out, while wing-back Ger Mahon, only drafted into the squad shortly before Galway’s opening game in the championship against Laois, drops to the subs bench.
Mahon’s place at wing-back will now be taken by David Collins, who drops back from the midfield berth he occupied during the facile victories over Laois and Antrim.
Forde’s return from a stomach muscle injury sees Kevin Hayes switch from the forty to full-forward.
Dublin have made four changes for their SHC qualifier with Offaly at Parnell Park on Saturday. Dave Sweeney and Kevin Flynn return after missing the Waterford game because of injury, while Eoin Moran and Jonathon Kingdom are included in a newly arranged half-forward line.
Niall Murphy fills the vacant full-back position on the Wexford team for tomorrow’s All-Ireland SFC qualifier in Clones.
Murphy moves from the left corner, with the number four jersey being filled by the experienced Darragh Breen who came on during the Leinster semi-final loss to Dublin.
Team captain John Hudson is back in the starting line-up after injury, taking the place of Paddy Colfer in the attack. He will play at left half-forward, with Diarmuid Kinsella moving to the edge of the square.
Mayo coach John Maughan has made three changes in his team for Sunday’s Connacht final against Galway from the side which beat Roscommon in the semi-final. David Geraghty, Peadar Gardiner and Trevor Mortimer replace Keith Higgins, Gary Mullins and Stephen Carolan respectively.
The Kerry minor selectors have made changes to their team for Sunday’s Munster final against Cork. Brian Looney comes in for Dan Murphy while Paddy Curran is recalled in place of Michael Boyle.
