GAA to consider roofing Croke Park

ROOFING Croke Park should be a priority for the GAA, according to director general Liam Mulvihill.

He claimed yesterday that the absence of flood-lighting and a giant screen are the only other disadvantages associated with the construction of a stadium to world-class standards.

Built at a cost of €265m over a period of 12 years and now boasting a capacity of 82,300, the official opening yesterday of what is to be known as the Hill 16 and Nally End terrace marked the formal completion of the fourth phase.
