Late Galvin goal puts Kilmacud Crokes into last eight
Crokes led 0-2 to 0-1 after 10 minutes but an excellent Stephen Cowap point in the 11th minute and a well-positioned Paddy Christie free had the northsiders level. Crokes nosed ahead with Ray Cosgrove's first point but a Condon free after Christie had made 45 metres on a solo run brought equality again.
In the 18th minute Ballymun took the lead for the first time since the opening score of the game when Brian McCullagh slotted over from 35 metres but it was Crokes who dominated the closing passage of the half.

Points from Declan Kelleher a fine effort off his left and a Cosgrove free pushed Crokes 1-7 to 0-5 clear as Ballymun stuggled to find their feet.

Niall Crossan had two points from play by the third minute and a Wayne McCarthy free put them 0-3 to 0-0 clear by the fourth minute.
Six minutes later McCarthy struck for the only goal of the game when he fired to the corner of the net.
