GAA taking close look at Aussie Rules’ disciplinary system
Association president Seán Kelly has provided documentation on the AFL system for a legal sub-committee of the Central Council with a view to examining its possible application for Gaelic games. The AFL process is undertaken by a senior lawyer, who deals with all the legal issues and takes a decision in a matter of days.
Meantime, Mr Kelly is pursuing the possibility of dividing up the areas of responsibility of the GAC, separating their games role from the disciplinary aspect.
