Derry are without Ballinderry contingent for Clare clash

DERRY are without their Ballinderry contingent for the trip to Cusack Park on Sunday to play Clare.

The county champions are holidaying in the sun for winning the All-Ireland Club final last year.

Brian Lynch comes in at right corner back for Karl McGuckian; Garath Doherty takes over from Darren Crozier at left half back, while Francis Glackin is named at right half forward in place of Conleth Gilligan. Doherty joins his brothers Karl and Fergal on the starting 15. Team captain Enda Muldoon and Darren Conway didn’t join their club-mates on the holiday and have been named at midfield and left half forward respectively.

All-Ireland champions Armagh have named the same team that defeated Dublin in the opening round, for the visit of Cork to Crossmaglen. Manager Joe Kernan does make a positional change, however, Diarmuid Marsden and John McEntee changing places in the full forward line.

Captain Muiris Gavin, returns for the clash against Antrim at the Gaelic Grounds. He lines out at right corner forward to the exclusion of John Meskell. John Galvin also starts for the first time this season and will partner John Quane in midfield in the absence of the suspended Jason Stokes. Pat Aherne is ruled out because of a shoulder injury. Tipperary boss Tom McGlinchey has made three changes for the visit of Waterford to Ardfinnan.

Out go goalkeeper Brian Enright to be replaced by Philly Ryan while Kevin Mulryan and Paul Cahill replace Benny Hickey and David Byrne.

Switches see Paul Hally back in defence from the half forward line; Eamon Hanrahan at full forward from midfield, and Aidan Fitzgerald from centre forward out to midfield.
