O’Connor gets award at last

DURING President Mary McAleese’s recent visit to the Irish troops in Liberia, the Army arranged for the President to present Cork camogie player Gemma O’Connor with her Allstar award.

When the first-ever camogie Allstar team was announced recently the Cork star missed the ceremony and her mother accepted the award on her behalf.
