Canavan reward for Red Hand return to form

PETER CANAVAN’S return to centre stage has been further emphasised by his winning of the Tennent’s Ulster GAA Writers’ Monthly Merit award for June.

Canavan, on his return to the Tyrone line-up, hit 1-7 in the Ulster semi-final replay win over Cavan.

He is preparing for Sunday’s Ulster final against Armagh at Croke Park.
