Croker confirmed as venue for three quarter-final clashes
Galway and Kerry, will be pitted against the winners of the Cork/Sligo and Mayo/Cavan games, respectively.
Both of those games will be played as a doubleheader in Croke Park on Sunday, August 7.
Things are a little more complex as Armagh and Dublin await the winners of Tyrone/Monaghan and Laois/Derry.
If the pairings are Armagh v Monaghan the game will be in Clones on August 13 and if Dublin meet Derry the game is fixed for Croke Park on August 13.
If the pairings are Dublin v Tyrone the game will be in Croke Park on August 13 while Armagh v Laois would be in Croker a week later
If it's Dublin v Monaghan the game will be in Croke Park on August 13 and if it is Armagh v Derry the game will be in Clones or Casement Park on August 13.
Meanwhile Wexford County Board have had to postpone six SFC games this weekend as their senior side face Fermanagh in Wexford Park in the Tommy Murphy Cup.
County Board secretary Mick Kinsella admitted his disappointment.
"I don't know of any county in Ireland who wants to play in this competition," he said. "Okay the two counties who will get to the final will make an effort to win the cup, but today's players are not too interested in trips to America.
"Last year Tipperary refused to play and this year Carlow pulled out. This competition is playing havoc with the county championships. If you keep increasing the inter-county scene, the clubs will suffer, and then we are in serious trouble as an organisation.
"Look at the journey Fermanagh have to make down to Wexford Park. Suppose we win where's the next game going to be played? We could end up having to travel over to Leitrim. That's another weekend gone out of the domestic season.
Wexford sought to have the game played last Saturday but Fermanagh were unable to accede to their request because of domestic fixtures.
They then wrote to the GAC seeking August 6 rather than July 30 as the date for the game to allow the full county programme to go ahead as planned.
However despite their protestations, Wexford's request was turned down and the match with Fermanagh was pencilled in for Saturday.
Four games involving Wexford players will still go ahead Sarsfields (Darren Browne) v. Duffry Rovers in Senior on Sunday; Volunteers (Nicky Lambert) v. St. James in intermediate on Sunday; St. Marys Rosslare (David Murphy and Darren Foran) v. St. Marys, Maudlintown, in intermediate on Monday; and Cloughbawn (Kieran Kennedy) v. St. Patricks in Junior on Saturday.
Originally August 6 had been left free of all other fixtures as it was expected that the Tommy Murphy Cup and All-Ireland Intermediate hurling semi-final would be played on that day.
However, in another bizarre twist to this sporting saga, Wexford were informed on Monday that they are getting a bye to the intermediate final as Ulster has no representative.
As one selector pointed out, "We've only started to try and contact players, and as of now we don't know who is available."
