Bonnar must wait and see
Bonnar received the punishment from the Higher Education Authority for comments allegedly made to a linesman during last month's Fitzgibbon Cup final.
The respected mentor was in charge of the WIT team that took on UCC at Athlone IT and protests his innocence.
WIT won the game by two points, a result Bonnar described at the time as 'our biggest achievement' but he was later punished for alleged comments made during the game.
He put his case forward personally last week to the GAC and had hoped that an outcome would be reached at Wednesday night's meeting.
However, the agenda on the night was taken up largely with deciding on fixtures for the National Football League semi-finals.
Bonnar said after his appeal: "I am under suspension for alleged remarks I made.
“It was one remark in particular that I have been credited with saying but I'm confident that I'm innocent of the allegations."
