McDonald will play for Mayo

KIERAN McDONALD has no plans to quit inter-county football according to Mayo manager John Maughan.

The Mayo boss rubbished radio reports that the Crossmolina star was threatening to walk away from the game and stresses that he will be available for the final stages of the league and the upcoming championship.

“There isn’t a grain of truth in that report”, Maughan said yesterday, “and if I could get my hands on the individual who started that rumour,” he said.
