Chicks with Sticks intends to revolutionise camogie image
The tag line was chosen by a committee, consisting of five former inter-county players, which was formed to revolutionise the image of camogie as the sport prepares to commemorate its centenary next year.
A new centenary logo will be launched in the autumn to coincide with the start of the celebrations. The game has seen many changes particularly moving on to 15-a-side which means it can now equal hurling for sheer passion and intensity.
"Generally speaking, players are also more image conscious and desperately want to lose the burly, butch and brawny impression that is so often wrongly associated with the game," a spokesperson said.
