FOR an hour in Carlow last Sunday week, Kildare people could believe they were living in a different time, a time not that long ago when Karl O'Dwyer would fire over points, Brian Lacey would bomb balls from defence and Glenn Ryan stepping up to take a penalty to dump Laois out of the Leinster championship.

If only. However, Round Towers' victory over Laois champions Arles-Kilcruise, offered a small measure of compensation for the Lilywhite's summer pain.
