KERRY’S NFL winning captain Declan O’Sullivan admits the Kingdom’s victory over Galway will be meaningless without a successful championship run.

O’Sullivan, whose side enjoyed a seven-point win over the Tribesmen at the Gaelic Grounds agreed that: “Our league victory is a big confidence booster but down here in Kerry, it will count for nothing if we don’t win Sam. This year’s championship is a wide open affair and any one of half a dozen counties can with it.”

However he said that the league title, and the tough games required to achieve it, may be a perfect launch pad for September glory.
