Murphy failed a fitness test last night and will be replaced at centre forward by John O'Connor, who deputised in last weekend's win over Antrim, when Murphy hobbled off.
Wexford have made one change in defence. Right corner back against Antrim, David O'Connor, is relegated to the substitutes. Keith Rossiter now moves back to that position with Declan Ruth taking over the centre back position.
The Tricolour will fly at half mast at Páirc Uí Rinn as a mark of respect to former Cork senior selector Pat Joe Cronin of Ballymartle who died yesterday.
A native of Riverstick Mr Cronin served as secretary of the Ballymartle club before emigrating to England where he served as secretary of the St. Judes club in London.
On his return he took over as secretary of the South East Division of Carrigdhoun and while filling that position for ten years, became one of the most esteemed and highly respected officer's in the Cork GAA.
Clare will be without Jerry Quinn and Ollie Baker for the clash with Dublin in Cusack Park. Quinn picked up an injury in last Sunday's win over Laois while Baker is unavailable. Team boss Anthony Daly will announce the team after training tonight.
The Tipperary team to play Limerick shows one change from the side which lost to Offaly in the opening round.
Corner back Thomas Costello is unavailable and his place is taken by John Devane of Clonoulty-Rossmore. Diarmuid Fitzgerald continues at wing-back with Paul Kelly starting at midfield. Denis Byrne who missed the Offaly game due to illness is added to the substitutes.
Dublin introduce two new defenders for their tie with Clare.
Darragh Spain of the St. Enda's/Ballyboden club replaces Simon Daly at right full back, while Carl Meehan of St. Vincent's takes over the left corner back duties from Derek O'Reilly.
In the Dublin half-back line the Ryan brothers Kevin and Liam swap places with Kevin now at centre back and Liam moving to left half-back.
There are also changes in attack from the side that lost to Galway last weekend. Shane Martin moves from right corner forward to centre forward with dual star Conal Keeney now on the left wing and Tommy Moore from Erins Isle replacing Michael Carton at left corner forward.
Following their defeat by Wexford on Sunday last Antrim have axed three players and introduce Niall Reynolds at left corner back, Joe Scullion in the right corner forward position and Ger Cunningham at full forward for their game with Offaly at Casement Park.
