INSPIRATIONAL skipper Tony Browne says Waterford will meet the Limerick challenge head on in tomorrow’s Munster hurling semi-final at Semple Stadium.

Browne is in no doubt about the enormity of the test: “Limerick are a hurling power just waiting to explode, and when they do they will take the world of beating.”

The Mount Sion clubman, voted player of the year in 1998 by his fellow hurlers, endured an injury jinx for much of the subsequent five years. But now he is hopeful the corner has been turned and is eagerly looking forward to a renewal of rivalry with the Shannonsiders.
