GPA signs 350,000 naming rights deal with phone company

THE Gaelic Players' Association yesterday announced a five-year 350,000 naming rights deal with mobile phone company The Carphone Warehouse.

The players’ body will now be known as ‘The Carphone Warehouse sponsored GPA’ and the deal is an extension of an existing three-year contract between the two organisations.

The agreement is chief executive Dessie Farrell’s first major commercial result for the GPA. The package is structured to provide performance related bonuses for the GPA, recognising the association’s growing prominence in Gaelic games.
