Players took eyes off the ball

WHAT does the boot advertising farce say about the current state of affairs in the GAA?

Players took eyes off the ball

To some, it will confirm already firmly held views that the modern player is greedy, just waiting for the next money-making opportunity. To others, it will be just another shoulder-shrug, another sign of the direction modern society is taking, rampant commercialism. To the GAA hardliners, it’s an opportunity to come down hard on what will be seen as blatant disregard of the rules.

I don’t take any of those views.
