O'Connor calls on old heads to fill the boots of absent Moynihan

JACK O'CONNOR is looking to his senior players to provide extra leadership in Croke Park tomorrow to compensate for the absence of Seamus Moynihan.

However, while acknowledging the seriousness of his loss, the Kerry manager does not accept that it could mean the difference between winning and losing their Bank of Ireland football championship quarter-final against Dublin.

It has been 'on the cards' for the past few weeks that Moynihan would not make the game, he confirmed, pointing out that he had suffered a setback about ten days ago when the response from a test on his injured ankle in training was really disappointing. Now, Moynihan has decided to take a complete rest for a couple of weeks.
