Déise double-header set to thrill football fans
Ordinarily, the semi-final meeting of Ballinacourty and Tramore (3.30) would be expected to capture “match of the day” status, but many will view the quarter-final clash of Kilrossanty and Nire as the top attraction (2pm).
Both suffered surprising first round defeats with Kilrossanty going under to Tramore and the Nire giving their best to neighbours Rathgormack. However, they have both come impressively through the losers group and tomorrow’s winners will face a semi- final showdown with champions Stradbally in confident mood.
The semi-final meeting of Ballinacourty and Tramore was an unexpected pairing.
However, both are through to the penultimate stage on merit alone and will be fancying their respective chances more than a little of advancing to the decider.
