The disappointment of missing out on the game because of his Munster final dismissal was obvious, but the 2003 Allstar said the Games Administration Committee's decision to ban him for the game was correct.

"They could have handed me a three-month ban and that would have also ruled me out of the All-Ireland final had we won today,'' said Mullane.
