Former Kerry star Ned Roche dies

THE death has occurred in Cork of former Kerry footballer and Army lieutenant, Ned Roche.

A native of Knocknagoshel, Roche won two All-Ireland medals with the Kingdom in 1953 and 1955.

He was stationed at Collins Barracks in Cork and played football with distinction with the Army team for many years. He was an active member of Muskerry Golf Club. Mr Roche is survived by his wife, Chris.
