Dooher impatient to get back in action as recovery drags on

BRIAN DOOHER is getting fed up of being a spectator at the games the All-Ireland champions have played so far this season.

"You are still part of the team, but it's not nice watching games. I don't like it," he says.

Dooher had surgery towards the end of last year on a troublesome ankle injury, having deferred it until the close season. However, his recovery has taken a bit longer than he anticipated, and three weeks ago he had a second operation. But on the brighter side, he has started his comeback.
