Four evenly matched clubs go in search of Holy Grail

AS the competitive hurling season finally kicks into gear for the 2005 season, it’s all systems go in the club semi-finals this weekend.

“We have no injury worries,” reports Athenry manager Billy Caulfield, as they prepare to face Munster champions Toomevara in Ennis this afternoon. “We had a concern about Donal Moran, but he’s fine.”

Athenry are further strengthened by the return of attacking wing-back Shane Donoghue, whose controversial suspension was lifted on appeal, a decision welcomed by Caulfield.
