Students too good for second string Cork
The students impressed in the opening half and with Padraig Griffin, Conor McCarthy and Dylan Mehigan dangerous up front, they held a two point interval lead (0-4 to 0-2).
Cork then made a number of substitutions and there was more urgency in attack where Robert O'Mahony and Padraig Kissane posed a lot of problems for an overworked UCC defence.
A succession of points by Cork had the sides level at 0-6 at the end of the third quarter before O'Mahony goaled to give his side the lead for the first time.
The advantage though was shortlived as the students finished the stronger with Mehigan and then Conor Brosnan goaling in the final quarter.
