Draw to be shown after Munster final

THE draw for the second round of the Bank of Ireland SFC will be televised by RTÉ after Sunday’s Munster SHC final between Cork and Tipperary.

The draw will see one of the eight first-round winners (Down, Louth, Sligo, Meath, Carlow, Monaghan, Westmeath and the winners of Donegal v Wicklow) being drawn against one of the eight defeated provincial semi-finalists (Armagh or Derry, Cavan or Tyrone, Leitrim, Roscommon, Kildare, Wexford, Clare and Limerick).

Teams who have already met in the provincial championships will not be drawn against each other.*

Should this happen, the second team drawn will be moved to the next fixture.

Meanwhile, the Leinster Council is making extra family tickets and group passes available for Sunday week’s hurling final in Croke Park between Kilkenny and holders Wexford because of the non-availability of the Hill 16 terrace as a result of the U2 concerts in the stadium over the coming week-end. *These will definitely include Leitrim v Sligo, Carlow v Wexford and Westmeath v Kildare. Depending on results from the weekend’s matches these may also include Wicklow v Kildare (if Wicklow beat Donegal), Monaghan v Derry (if Derry lose to Armagh), Down v Tyrone (if Tyrone lose to Cavan), Donegal v Armagh (if Armagh lose to Derry and if Donegal beat Wicklow).
