By the end of the first quarter the west Cork team had strolled to a six point advantage, (1-6 to 0-3) reflecting their superiority.
Deirdre Cotter grabbed the first-half goal and with superb points from player-of-the-match Nollaig Cleary at full forward they coasted to a seven-points lead by half time, (1-9 to 0-5). Claire O'Brien also contributed eight points and was central to this triumph.
