Kelly says ex-presidents still have a role to play
In a stirring address, the GAA President criticised the "convoluted system" which was roundly criticised when all of the Rule 42 motions were rejected. He added that when knowledge of the rules was "the preserve of a few," it conferred a certain power on them which was "unhealthy and undemocratic."
Interviewed later, Mr Kelly stressed that it wasn't his intention 'to get rid of anybody.'
