Ballyduff get the upper hand on Passage
With team captain Michael Drislane, Ger Feeney, and Seamas Hannon confidently marshalling their tight-marking defence, the outstanding John Twomey and Stephen Molumphy controlling midfield, and Brendan Hannon impressively leading their attack, Ballyduff were in control throughout and lead 1-7 to 0-6 at half time. The goal was a disaster for ‘keeper Ray Barry who dropped a ball and Brian Kearney was quick to punish the error.
Passage had to wait ten minutes to open their second-half account with another pointed free by Anthony Brett. More and more, however, Ballyduff were now stamping their authority on the game and their victory had been assured long before the final whistle confirmed it.
