Rule applies to everyone

THE rule under which a player receives a month’s suspension for an immediate sending off offence and misses the next game in the competition, applies right across the board - in the case of club as well as inter-county fixtures, the Croke Park Press Office said yesterday.
Rule applies to everyone

This refers to category ‘C’ offences (outside of category ‘A’ - relating to interference with a match or team official - and category ‘B’ - covering kicking and striking).

The rule stipulates that suspension includes missing the next game in the competition, even if the next game falls outside of the suspension period.
